AI lead reading

Every inquiry that reaches your Inbox is read by Mapaprop's AI as soon as it arrives. The idea is simple: not every inquiry weighs the same in your day, and the system helps you see the ones that do first.

What it solves

Many of the inquiries you receive were not written by anyone. When a person taps "WhatsApp", "call" or "see phone number" on a portal, the portal generates an automatic notice and sends it to you as if it were a message. There are also portals that offer a default text, which the person sends as is without writing a single word.

These are real leads — that person showed interest in your property — but they do not carry a question waiting for an answer. Mixed in with written inquiries, they make going through your inbox take longer than it should.

What you see in the inbox today

Two things, both in the Inbox:

The label on each message

LabelMeaning
This person wrote itThe text of the inquiry was written by the interested party
The portal wrote itIt is an automatic notice, or the default message the portal offers

The Wrote a message filter

The Wrote a message button — on the right of the All / Unread row — leaves in view only the messages where the person wrote something. It combines with the rest of the filters; the most useful combination is Unread + Wrote a message: what someone wrote and nobody has read yet.

If you have ten minutes and fifty inquiries, start there.

What it does NOT do

This matters as much as the above:

  • It does not reply for you. The reading is there to sort, not to answer. If you want automatic replies on your website, that is Mapaprop Chat AI, which is a different feature.
  • It does not modify the message. The text you received is the one the person or the portal sent.
  • It does not delete or discard anything. When you turn on Wrote a message, the other messages are hidden from view; they remain in your inbox and come back as soon as you turn it off.
  • It does not look up information about the person outside Mapaprop. It works with the inquiry that arrived and with what is already in your account.

It does not consume your AI tokens

Unlike the rest of the Mapaprop AI module, Mapaprop pays for this reading: it does not deduct tokens from your plan.

The reason is that you do not request it. The volume depends on how many inquiries you receive, not on a button you pressed — and charging you for incoming traffic would mean charging you for something you do not control.

Availability

Available from the Mapaprop Pro+ plan onwards.

The Wrote a message filter is always shown in the inbox, whatever plan you are on. If yours does not include it, you will see it with a padlock, and tapping it tells you what it is about and how to activate it.

Older messages

The reading started working in August 2026. Earlier messages carry no label.

Those messages always appear, including with the Wrote a message filter on. This is deliberate: we would rather show you one message too many than hide one that a person may well have written.

We are completing the history gradually, so it is normal to see labels over time on inquiries that did not have them before.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lose a lead by using the Wrote a message filter? No. The filter changes what you see, not what you have. Turn it off and the whole inbox comes back. And messages without a label are never hidden.

A message was labelled "The portal wrote it" but the person actually wrote. What do I do? It can happen, especially when the text is very short or nearly identical to the one the portal suggests. The message is not lost: turn off Wrote a message and you will see it. If you notice it often, open a ticket and tell us about the case.

Does this consume tokens from my plan? No. Mapaprop pays for it.

Where do I see how many AI tokens I have left? In AI Services. You will not see usage from this feature there, precisely because it does not deduct from your quota.

Will it do more things? Yes. We are working on having the inbox organise your day's work better. We will be sharing more as it becomes available.
