Service linked to Property API
Property API lets you load and manage your properties from your own system, without entering the web app.
Available with the Mapaprop Business plan plus the Property API service. The token is self-service (you activate it from your account) and does not expire.
Contracting Property API
Property API is an additional service: it is added to your plan and does not replace it. You contract it from the Settings > API Token screen, with the Contract Property API button.
When you contract it, your current plan stays the same. Property API is billed separately.
Activating Property API on your token
Your account has a single token, and that token enables every API service you have contracted. That is why, when you contract Property API, there is one more step: activating it on the token you already have.
On the API Token screen you will see the notice that you have a service available that your token does not include yet, along with the button to activate it.
Activating it generates a new token and the previous one stops working at that very moment. If you already had that token set up in an integration —for example Express API or your website— you will have to update it with the new one. Copy it as soon as it appears.
If you did not have a token yet, there is no extra step: when you activate the token for the first time it already comes with everything you have contracted.
What your token includes
After activating it, the screen shows Property API among your enabled services, with the access it grants:
- Create, read, update and delete properties
- Query the catalogues (zones by country, property types and attributes)
- Verify a property before publishing it, without publishing it
- Publish on the portals
Documentation
How to use it, the property object, the catalogues and the examples are in the developer documentation: Property API.
Technical support for the API is by email to integrations@mapaprop.com.
If you change your plan
If you cancel Property API, the access is removed from your token automatically. The same happens if you cancel the plan that enables it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have Property API and Express API on the same token? Yes. It is the same token for every API service you have contracted.
Does the token expire? No. It stops working if you regenerate it, if you deactivate it, or if you cancel the services that enable it.
Do I have to update my integrations every time I regenerate the token? Yes. The previous token stops working immediately.
