A move takes a sign that is already installed on a property to another property, in a single trip.
Why it exists as a separate type
This used to be done by scheduling an installation of a sign that was already at another house. In terms of data it worked, but the order the installer received did not say where to take it from: they arrived at the destination property and the sign was not there.
The move solves that: the order states both ends of the job — where it is removed from and where it is installed.
Which signs you can choose
The ones that are installed on a property. A sign stored at the warehouse is not moved: it is installed.
The data
- The sign you are going to move. When you choose it, the system shows you the property it is removed from.
- The destination property, where it is going to be installed.
- Date and time, if you already have them.
- The installer, if you already know who is going.
- Notes with any instructions.
The origin property is resolved at the moment the order is displayed, not when you scheduled it. If the sign was moved in the meantime, the order will say where it is now — which is what whoever is going to do the work needs.
When the work has been done
Confirm the order. The sign stops showing on the origin property and moves to the destination one, and both stays are recorded in the history: the one that ends and the one that begins.
