A removal takes a sign off a property and returns it to a storage location.
Which signs you can choose
The ones that are installed on a property. A sign that is already at the warehouse cannot be removed.
The data
- The sign you are going to remove. When you choose it, the system shows you which property it is taken from.
- The destination: where the sign goes back to (see below).
- Date and time, if you already have them.
- The installer, if you already know who is going.
- Notes with any instructions.
The destination: where the sign goes back to
This is the field worth looking at. When removing, you choose where the sign is stored:
- The sign's owning branch — this is what the system proposes by default.
- The warehouse.
- Any other branch.
The default option is the owning branch because that is what happens almost always: the sign is taken down and stored where it lives. If you work with a central warehouse, choose that option and it will be set as that work order's destination.
Storing a sign at another branch does not transfer it: it still belongs to the owning branch. To change the owner there is the Transfer action — see Where a sign is.
While the order is still pending you can change the destination from the work order's page. Between scheduling and confirming, days can go by, and the decision can change.
When the work has been done
Confirm the order. Only then does the sign stop showing on the property and move to the destination you chose.
The console's notice
If a property was sold, rented, suspended or unpublished and still has a sign installed, the console warns you with a yellow alert.
The system does not schedule the removal on its own: it warns you so that you decide when to do it.
