Importing Properties to Mapaprop
Importing properties to Mapaprop lets you quickly migrate your catalog from other websites. We offer several AI-backed methods that automatically map your property's data to the Mapaprop system's fields.
If you have a website with more than 100 properties, you can ask our team to perform a monitored import. To do so, contact feedback@mapaprop.com.
If the property is missing data, the system will ask you to complete it manually before finishing the import.
Available import methods
Today there are two main methods to import properties into Mapaprop:
1. Individual Import
One property at a time. It's the most used method to add specific listings (for example, a new property a client brings you from another portal).
Within the individual import there are three modes that share the same review Editor:
| Mode | When to use it |
|---|---|
| URL | Most common case. Paste the listing's link (Zonaprop, Argenprop, MercadoLibre, the client's website) and the system extracts the data. |
| HTML | When the URL doesn't work (sites with a login wall or anti-bot protection). Copy the source code from your browser and paste it. |
| JSON | For advanced users who already have structured data (exported from another system). |

2. Import from Sitemap.xml
Bulk import. Lets you load multiple properties simultaneously from the client's website sitemap.xml. Ideal for complete migrations (the entire catalog at once).

Bulk import from Zonaprop (for clients with a plan published on Zonaprop) is temporarily disabled for technical reasons. If you need to migrate a large catalog from Zonaprop, contact us at feedback@mapaprop.com.
Technical rules and requirements
List of points to keep in mind before importing:
- There is a specific format for importing properties, determined by the methods of our Property API → POST /property/post.
- The import is AI-assisted, so manual mapping is not necessary in most cases.
- The methods may have flaws that get fixed and improved on demand. For any failure, we recommend contacting the technical team explaining the case, and sending the necessary data (property URL, type of import used, system provider, etc.).
Minimum information required to import a property
The minimum fields required for a property to be created successfully:
ambiences: number of roomslandArea: land area in m²buildingArea: built area in m²rooms: number of bedroomsyearsOld: age in yearsgarage: number of parking spacestitle: descriptive title of the propertyaddress: full addresspropertyOperation: type of operation (numeric value)type: property type (numeric value)zone0tozone3: hierarchical geographic location codesprice: property pricezipCode: postal codecurrency: currency (e.g.:"USD")description: detailed descriptiondescriptionFormatted: formatted descriptionimages: array with at least 1 image (URL, description is optional)
If any of these fields are missing from the original listing, the Editor will ask you to complete it before you can save the property.
Additional features
Fill in with AI from text
On the Create Property screen there is a "Fill in with AI from text" button that lets you paste any text with property data (owner's copy via WhatsApp, description from another portal, listing from another system) and the AI automatically extracts the form fields. It's a fast alternative when you don't have a URL but do have the listing's text.
This feature is complementary to bulk or individual import from URL and consumes tokens from your AI plan.
