Importing Properties to Mapaprop

Importing properties to Mapaprop lets you quickly migrate your catalog from other websites. We offer several AI-backed methods that automatically map your property's data to the Mapaprop system's fields.

Available import methods

From the application you import one property at a time, with three modes that share the same review Editor. Full catalog migrations are handled by our team (see the next section).

Individual Import

One property at a time. It's the most used method to add specific listings (for example, a new property a client brings you from another portal).

Full catalog migrations: we do them for you

If you want to bring in your entire portfolio at once, you don't have to do it yourself: write to feedback@mapaprop.com with the address of your current website (or the portal where you publish today) and our team performs the import as a monitored process.

We do it this way, rather than with an automated process inside your account, for a concrete reason: a bulk migration brings the properties in but leaves required fields empty (zip code, rooms, age), and your portfolio cannot be published until they are filled. We review property by property before handing the result over, so that what ends up in your account is ready to publish.

What we need from you:

1. The address of the site or portal the properties should come from.
2. One sample property (the link to any listing), so we can verify we can read your system.
3. The branch and user the portfolio should be assigned to.

We'll confirm whether your site is compatible and agree on the next steps.

Technical rules and requirements

List of points to keep in mind before importing:

• There is a specific format for importing properties, determined by the methods of our Property API → The property JSON object.
• The import is AI-assisted, so manual mapping is not necessary in most cases.
• The methods may have flaws that get fixed and improved on demand. For any failure, we recommend contacting the technical team explaining the case, and sending the necessary data (property URL, type of import used, system provider, etc.).

Minimum information required to import a property

The minimum fields required for a property to be created successfully:

• ambiences: number of rooms
• landArea: land area in m²
• buildingArea: built area in m²
• rooms: number of bedrooms
• yearsOld: age in years
• garage: number of parking spaces
• title: descriptive title of the property
• address: full address
• propertyOperation: type of operation (numeric value)
• type: property type (numeric value)
• zone0 to zone3: hierarchical geographic location codes
• price: property price
• zipCode: postal code
• currency: currency (e.g.: "USD")
• description: detailed description
• descriptionFormatted: formatted description
• images: array with at least 1 image (URL, description is optional)

If any of these fields are missing from the original listing, the Editor will ask you to complete it before you can save the property.

Additional features

Fill in with AI from text

On the Create Property screen there is a "Fill in with AI from text" button that lets you paste any text with property data (owner's copy via WhatsApp, description from another portal, listing from another system) and the AI automatically extracts the form fields. It's a fast alternative when you don't have a URL but do have the listing's text.

This feature is complementary to bulk or individual import from URL and consumes tokens from your AI plan.
