This help article will teach you the uses and scope of Real Estate Networks (MLS) in Mapaprop

Real Estate Networks (MLS)

Every Mapaprop user participates in the Mapaprop Network, but only users subscribed to certain Subscription services have access to search properties within it. See how to Change or cancel your plan

The functionality scales from lower to higher: you don't need to do anything to participate, but there are basic and advanced configuration options that will let you make better use of the Network service. You can even create your own Business Network (Closed MLS). We recommend reading this help article carefully.

About Networks

Everything about Real Estate Networks:

Basics

The Real Estate Network (MLS) is based on the ability to do business between professional colleagues. Mapaprop aims to provide a simple, natural option, fully integrated with the system. The Network lets you publish and search properties transparently, as well as communicate with colleagues.

By default, every Mapaprop user is a participant of the system's global Network, called Mapaprop Network. Participation becomes effective every time you publish a property in your Mapaprop account. Every property with a published status is participating in the Network.

In addition to the Mapaprop Global Network, other private networks will soon be available that you can choose to join.

General operation

The following are some points to keep in mind:

  • Every property published on Mapaprop is visible in the Real Estate Networks, even when its Deal status is Rented, Sold, Suspended, or Reserved. If you don't want a property to be publicly visible, unpublish it from Mapaprop.
  • Every Mapaprop user participates in the Mapaprop Network with their published properties, even without performing any configuration.
  • Every Mapaprop user can communicate whether or not they share commission, either generally (Settings) or individually (for a single property only)
  • Every Mapaprop user can receive messages from other system users through the Mapaprop Network, to be contacted about a published property.
  • Every Mapaprop user should at least configure their Settings.
  • There is also Share commissions in the Network > Individual per-property settings, available from each property.

Network Settings

1. Basic Settings

Basic settings are essential for all users and let you:

  • Set your general shared commission policy
  • Add clarifying notes about commission conditions
  • Manage the visibility of your properties in the Network (subscribed users)

We recommend all users configure at least these basic settings in their account Settings.

For specific cases, you can customize the individual settings for each property:

  • Modify the commission policy for a specific property
  • Control individual visibility in the Network
  • Set specific clarifying notes

Per-property settings override your account's general settings. Use this option only when you need to set special conditions for specific properties.

👁️

Example: If your general policy is to share 50% commission, but you want to offer 40% on a specific property, you can change it from that property's individual settings.

There are different types of Networks, initially divided into open or private. The basic, global Real Estate Network service is called Mapaprop Network, and it's a public-type network in which all Mapaprop users participate with their properties, but only subscribers to the product can access it.
