Share with branch identity
What it is
When you work at a branch and your office is part of a network with this feature enabled, you can share a property using your own branch identity. The client who opens your link sees your name, your photo and your branch details in the contact sidebar, instead of those of the branch that owns the property.
It's not a new property, it's not a copy: it's the same portal listing but with the contact sidebar customized for you.
What it's for
This feature is designed for the model where each branch is an agent that competes both to capture properties and to capture contacts to sell properties from the office or the network. Whoever captures the contact keeps the deal, no matter who has the property listed — and the listing that reaches the client must show who captured the contact.
With this feature, it applies in two situations at once:
| Situation | Example |
|---|---|
| Property of a colleague in the network | You find an excellent property from another agency in your MLS network and send it to your client with your details. |
| Property of another branch in your same office | Your colleague at another branch of the same office listed a property. You got the client. You share it with your identity. |
In either case, the flow is the same:
- Open the property listing in Mapaprop.
- Tap the share button (when this feature applies, the normal button stays hidden and "Share with my branch" appears directly).
- Choose the channel (WhatsApp, direct link, Facebook, X).
- The client opens the link and sees the property with your contact details in the sidebar.
The property owner remains the original branch and keeps appearing as such in the property's details. Only the contact sidebar changes.
Coordination between you and the agent who owns the property is part of the network's or office's business agreement. The system does not automate it in this version — how to manage it is an internal decision.
Requirements
For this feature to be available to you, these conditions must be met:
| Condition | Detail |
|---|---|
| Have a branch assigned to your profile | Only users with their own branch (salespeople with a branch) can use this feature. General account administrators do not have it available. |
| The office must participate in an enabled network | Your office must be connected and active in at least one network whose manager has enabled the "Share with branch identity" option. |
| The manager of that network must have the Business Manager plan | Only networks whose managers have Business Manager can enable the option. Networks of managers with the Business plan do not have access. |
| The property must belong to another branch | If the property already belongs to your branch, the feature does not apply (the sidebar would already show your details). |
| The property must belong to the same enabled network as your office | The button only appears when the property is published in a network where your office also participates, and that network has the "Share with branch identity" option enabled. If the property only belongs to networks where your office is NOT a member, or belongs to networks without the option enabled (such as the generic Mapaprop Network), the button does not appear. |
| The property must be published | If the property is not published, the share button does not appear (neither the normal one nor "Share with my branch"). An unpublished property is not accessible to the end client from the portal. |
How to activate it (managers only)
If you're the network manager and want to offer this feature to your members:
- Go to My Networks → select the network → Network Settings.
- Look for the "Share with branch identity" card.
- Enable the option.
- Save.
Once enabled, all network members with an assigned branch can start sharing.
If the option doesn't appear: your plan doesn't include this feature. It requires Business Manager. It cannot be enabled with the Business plan.
How to share
The button appears as "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" and behaves differently depending on your role and the type of property. Quick summary:
If you're a salesperson with an assigned branch
From the listing page or the property list of another branch — whether from your same office or a colleague in the network:
- Tap the "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button. When this feature applies, this button replaces the normal share button: you no longer see both at once, just your branch's button directly.
- The modal that opens goes straight to "share with your identity" mode — it doesn't offer the option to share with a common link. This is intentional: as a salesperson, whenever you share someone else's property, you do it with your identity.
- Choose the distribution channel: WhatsApp, Facebook, X, copy link, etc.
- Your client opens the link and sees your branch in the sidebar.
If you're an administrator, owner, or manager of the office (without your own branch)
Your main button in the listing remains the normal share button for your own properties — it is not replaced. The "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" option appears in these situations:
| Where you are | How it appears |
|---|---|
| Property of your own office (another branch) | The normal share button stays as is. If you open the modal or the Publication panel you'll find an extra "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" section that lets you generate the personalized link. You have both options available. |
| Property of the network (another office) | The "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button appears directly, as in the salesperson's case. The normal share does not apply to properties from network colleagues. |
| Your own property from your branch | Only the normal share button. The identity option does not apply. |
If you don't see the "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button, check that: your office participates in a network with the option enabled, you have a branch assigned to your profile, the property belongs to another branch (not yours), and the property is published.
Behavior matrix (all cases)
This table summarizes when the "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" option appears depending on who you are and which property you're viewing. It assumes your office participates in at least one network with the option enabled and that the property is published.
If you're a salesperson with an assigned branch
| Property | Listing | Property page | Share modal | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| From your branch | Normal share button | Normal share button | Modal with traditional options | Normal share (portal link without identity replacement) |
| From another branch of your office | "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button replaces the normal one | Same button in the top bar | Direct modal in "your identity" mode — no traditional option | You can only share with your identity |
| From a network colleague | "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button | Same button below "Inquire" | Direct modal in "your identity" mode — no traditional option | You can only share with your identity |
If you're an administrator / owner / office manager
| Property | Listing | Property page | Share modal | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| From your branch | Normal share button | Normal share button | Modal with traditional options | Normal share |
| From another branch of your office | Only the three-dot menu and the Publication panel have the option (no inline button appears) | The share button opens a modal with two options: a "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" section and the traditional channels below | Mixed modal — you can choose | You have flexibility: you can share as an administrator (normal link) or customize with a branch's identity |
| From a network colleague | "Share with my Branch / Agent Identity" button inline (same as the salesperson) | Same button below "Inquire" | Direct modal in "your identity" mode | Only branch identity — normal share does not apply for properties from network colleagues |
Why the difference between salesperson and administrator: the operating model is designed so that the agent who captures the contact keeps the deal. That's why the salesperson can only share with their identity when the property is not from their branch. The administrator, on the other hand, keeps flexibility to coordinate at the office level (for example, if they want to send a "neutral" link without assigning the deal to a specific branch).
What the end client sees
When someone opens a personalized link:
- They see the property exactly as always: photos, description, price, location.
- In the contact sidebar they see the details of the branch that shared the link:
- Branch photo / logo
- Branch and agent name
- Office address and area
- "View office" link that leads to the branch's full profile
- The direct action buttons (Inquire, WhatsApp, Call, Email) do not appear — the client is already in contact with the agent who sent them the link outside the portal.
The client sees no special indication that the property "belongs to another broker." They see a normal listing with the details of whoever shared the link with them.
Examples
Case 1 — property from a network colleague: A real estate network has this feature enabled. An agent from Sucursal Norte of Inmobiliaria A finds a property listed by Sucursal Sur of Inmobiliaria B (another office in the same network) that fits a client. By clicking "Share with my branch" and sending the link to the client, the client sees Sucursal Norte's details (photo, phone, link to the office) in the sidebar. The property is identical. The agent coordinates with the other agency outside the system.
Case 2 — property from another branch of the same office: An office with several branches (agent-per-branch model) has its account connected to a network with this feature enabled. An agent from Sucursal Recoleta gets a client for a property listed by Sucursal Palermo of the same office. They share the link with their identity: the client sees Sucursal Recoleta (not Palermo) in the sidebar. Internal coordination is handled within the office according to its rules.
MVP limitations
| Limitation | Detail |
|---|---|
| Only brand portals | The feature works on the network's public portals. It doesn't yet apply to customers' own websites. |
| No automatic leads | The client doesn't generate an automatic lead in the system when opening the link. Coordination between brokers is offline. |
| No share tracking | There's no record of how many times a property was shared or how many visits the links generated. |
| No per-member moderation | All network members with an assigned branch can share. The manager cannot restrict who shares. |
Frequently asked questions
What happens if someone tries to manipulate the link? The system validates that the sharing branch belongs to an active office, in an active network with the option enabled, and that the property belongs to another branch. If any validation fails, the portal ignores the customization and shows the original owner's details. There's no visible error for the visitor.
Does the property owner find out it was shared? In this version there is no automatic notification. Whoever shares is responsible for coordinating with the owner. This is the dynamic established in the network or office: agreements are part of the internal rules.
Can I disable this feature? If you're the manager, you can turn off the "Share with branch identity" option in your network's settings at any time. Once disabled, all already-shared links stop having effect: the sidebar goes back to showing the property owner's details.
Can the Business plan enable this feature? No. The option is only available on networks whose manager has the Business Manager plan active. The Business plan does not include this capability.
What happens if the manager downgrades to a lower plan? The system automatically disables the option in all of the manager's networks. Already-shared links stop having effect immediately.
Can I share a property from my own branch with this feature? No. If the property already belongs to your branch, the share button is the normal one — your branch's identity is already the one shown by default in the sidebar.
I'm an office administrator, without my own branch. Can I use this feature? No. This feature is designed for salespeople with an assigned branch. As a general administrator, your share button is the normal one and the client sees the identity of the property owner.
I see a property from another branch of my office but the "Share with my branch" button doesn't appear. What's going on? Check that the property is published. If it's marked "Not published" or is still under moderation, the button doesn't appear for anyone — neither the normal one nor the branch identity one. Without a published property there's no shareable link for your client.
I see a Mapaprop Network property but the "Share with my branch" button doesn't appear. Why? The button only appears when the property belongs to a network with the "Share with branch identity" option enabled. The generic Mapaprop Network (the open network where all agencies are by default) doesn't have that option because there is no manager who owns the network. The option only exists on MLS or franchise networks where the Business Manager plan owner enables it. If the property is only in Mapaprop Network, the button doesn't apply.
On the property card I see an "Under moderation" tag on properties from other branches. What does it mean? That the property is listed but has not yet been authorized by the moderation system. While it's in that state:
- The property owner sees "Pending" or "Authorize" (they can act to speed up approval).
- You, as a colleague from another branch, see "Under moderation" (informational), and the share / email / QR buttons don't appear.
When the property is approved and published, the "Share with my branch" button is automatically enabled.
