1. What it is and who it's for
An MLS Network with co-brokering is an MLS Network that adds the network's structure: you see every member's offices, branches, and agents, and can register co-brokering deals by choosing the counterparty by name.
It's for you if you run or belong to a group organized under one brand: franchises, partner networks, groups with offices across several areas.
2. What it includes
| Feature | Does it have it? |
|---|---|
| Contribute to the pool and see your peers' portfolio | Yes |
| Your properties on the network's portal | Yes |
| The network's catalog on your website | Yes |
| Office and agent directory + co-brokering | Yes — it's what sets it apart |
3. What plan you need
| For | Who needs it | Minimum plan |
|---|---|---|
| Contributing to the pool, seeing peers' portfolios, and appearing on the portal | you, as a member | Plus or higher |
| The network's catalog on your website | you, as a member | Business |
| Using the directory and co-brokering | you, as a member | Business |
| The network OFFERING the directory and co-brokering | the network's owner | Business Manager |
🔑 Co-brokering needs two things at once: that you have Business, and that the network offers it — the latter depends on the network's owner having the Business Manager plan. If your plan is enough but the network doesn't offer it, you won't have it, and it's not because of your subscription.
🔒 The directory is enabled by Mapaprop, not by the network's owner. It opens the internal structure of every member, so it isn't turned on by self-service. If you administer a network and need it, request it from your network console or write to us at feedback@mapaprop.com.
4. How you join
You ask to join from Connect Networks (Marketplace) and the network's owner approves your request. The owner decides who gets in.
5. What you contribute and what you show
They're two independent settings, and the network's owner defines both. Each can be Manual, Automatic by default, or Mandatory:
| Setting | What it governs |
|---|---|
| Publication mode | How much you contribute to the network's pool |
| Publication on websites | How much of the pool you show on your own site |
If the owner chose Mandatory, the switch appears with a lock: it's a condition of the network, not an error.
6. How it works in practice
- You ask to join and the owner approves.
- Your properties enter the pool, appear on the portal, and — with Business — show on your site.
- A buyer browsing your site finds a peer's property and inquires.
- That lead is yours: it came in through your site, so the inquiry lands in your inbox.
- You coordinate the visit with your peer, the property's owner.
- You register the deal between the two of you, choosing the counterparty by name, each with your own commission.
The directory: exploring the network from general to specific
When you look at the network's properties you're not limited to your own office's:
- In Properties, tap Networks and choose the network.
- An Office selector appears with the other member offices.
- Choosing an office enables the Branch selector.
- The list narrows to the properties of the office (and branch) you picked.
That's how you quickly find a specific peer's portfolio without digging through the whole pool. And it's the same directory you use to pick the counterparty of a co-brokering deal in the deal modal.
Only the public data of the other offices is shown (name, branch, agent). You don't see their private contact information.
What the network's administrator configures
- Publication mode and own-storefront mode.
- Network rules: hide sections, block actions, custom rules.
- Marketplace: whether the network appears on the Networks Marketplace or not.
- Sharing with branch identity: requires the owner to have the Business Manager plan.
- Network dashboard and reports: panel, network health, and reports by office and by period.
Some of these options are configured by Mapaprop together with the administrator, because they reach every member of the network.
Coming soon: property moderation — the network's administrator approving members' properties before they enter the pool.
7. If you're the network's owner
What plan you need
| For | Plan |
|---|---|
| Creating a new network | Business or Business Manager |
| Staying at the head of a network you already have | Any plan in the Business family, entity plans included |
| Offering co-brokering to your members | Business Manager |
🔑 Co-brokering is the only feature where your plan defines what your members can do. With Business Manager your network can offer it; without it, your members don't have it no matter how much Business they hold.
What plan your members need
| For a member to… | They need |
|---|---|
| Join your network, contribute to the pool, and appear on the portal | Plus or higher |
| Bring your network's catalog to their own site | Business |
| Use the directory and co-brokering | Business |
Not everyone needs Business. A member on Plus is a full member: they contribute to the pool, appear on the portal, and see their peers' portfolios. With Business they add the catalog on their site and co-brokering.
The only plan left out is FREE, which can't connect to any network.
What you configure
- Name, logo, description, and the plan you offer your members.
- Whether the network appears on the Marketplace or not.
- 🔑 The own storefront: the key that makes the network's catalog appear on each member's site.
- The publication mode — how much your members contribute to the pool. You choose it when you create the network.
- Sharing with branch identity: letting a member share another branch's property with their own contact details.
- Network rules: hide sections, block actions, custom rules.
- Approving, rejecting, and removing members.
What you ask us for
- 🔒 The directory and co-brokering. It opens the internal structure of every member, so it isn't turned on by self-service: request it from your network console or write to us at feedback@mapaprop.com.
- Changing the publication mode or the own-storefront mode after the network is created. They reach every member, so the change is requested and justified.
- The statuses that take a property out of the network (sold, rented, reserved, suspended).
- 🌐 Your network's public portal: a site with the catalog of all your members, under your brand and your domain. We develop it, or your team does with our APIs — either way, data access comes included with Business Manager. With Business, write to us and we'll look at your case. → How it works
- The entity agreement, if your members get a special price.
There's a single criterion: what affects third parties is turned on by us; what affects only your network, by you.
What happens if you lose your plan
Your network is hidden, not deleted. It leaves the Marketplace, a 90-day grace period starts, and you're left in read mode: you can see it, but not publish or edit it.
Your members are third parties: deleting the network would destroy the membership of people who did nothing. That's why deletion is never automatic — if it comes to that, we talk it through with you.
Reactivate your plan and the network comes back.
