Networks — Publication on websites

When a network has this feature on, the network's catalog appears inside each member's website. And it goes both ways: your properties appear on the others' sites, and theirs on yours.

You multiply your stock without loading a single extra property — and the inquiry that comes in through your site is yours.

⚠️ Don't confuse it with the publication mode. They're two separate switches and it's the most common confusion:
The publication mode decides how much you contribute to the network's pool.
Publication on websites (this page) decides how much of the pool you show on your own site.
They're independent: you can be contributing everything and still have the catalog not appear on any site.

Which networks offer it

🔑 There are two conditions and you need both: that the network offers it and that you have the Business plan. Without Business you lose nothing else — you keep contributing to the pool, seeing your peers' portfolios, and appearing on the network's portal; the only thing you don't get is the catalog inside your own site.

It also only applies to websites provided by Mapaprop or developed by third parties on our APIs.

The three modes

Like the publication mode, this setting has three modes — not two. The middle one is the one that surprises people:

Mode	What happens to you
Manual	It arrives off. Each member decides whether to show the network's catalog on their site
Automatic by default	It arrives on: when you join, the network's catalog already shows on your site. You can turn it off afterwards
Mandatory	On and locked. Being a member means showing the network's catalog on your site

💡 Watch out for "Automatic by default": on the connection screen the switch appears already on. If you don't want the network's catalog on your site, turn it off before hitting Activate Connection.

🔒 If it's Mandatory, the switch appears with a lock. It's a condition of that network, not an error.

Who decides what

The network's owner sees the active mode in their console, read-only, in the Network rules configured by Mapaprop block. Detail in The rules of your network.

Where it's set

You pick it when you join the network from the Marketplace, and afterwards you can change it from that network's Configure button — unless it's Mandatory.

How network properties look on your site

Your site shows your peers' properties alongside yours. When a visitor inquires about one of them:

The owning broker's details are not shown. For the visitor, you're the contact.
The lead is yours: it came in through your site, and the contact stays in your account.
The owning broker gets a notice that their property received an inquiry — with your details, so they can reach you and coordinate. They don't get the lead or the buyer's contact.

The code of network properties

Network properties show their original code, with the owning broker's prefix. That's why on your site you'll see codes with a numeric prefix different from yours: it isn't an error, it's that property's unique code across the whole system.

Your site's code search finds them too: the visitor can enter that code exactly as it appears on the listing, with or without the prefix.

With this feature on, every search filter on your site accounts for the network's properties:

Search by code: finds network properties, with or without the prefix.
Property type filter: also offers the types that only exist in network properties (if a peer has a Triplex and you don't, "Triplex" still appears). Types are always shown with your country's names.
Area filter: also offers the areas where only network properties exist, in alphabetical order.

Everything your site's listing can show is also filterable and searchable.

SEO benefit: expanded sitemaps

If your site shows network properties, the sitemaps include them automatically. That increases your site's indexable content and improves your search ranking.
