About this page
Your network has rules you decide and rules we configure. This page explains which are which, why they're split that way, and how to request a change.
You're the owner of your network, but not every rule is changed from your console. Some we configure ourselves.
It isn't red tape: it's that those rules reach people who aren't you. Your members joined accepting certain conditions, and changing them overnight moves the ground under them without their say. That's why we coordinate with you before touching them.
All of them — yours and ours — you can see in your network's console, at Networks > Manage > your network. You can tell a partner exactly what they're accepting before they join.
🔑 What plan you need. Having your own network requires the Business or Business Manager plan. And two of the rules on this page are exclusive to Business Manager: sharing with branch identity and the network directory + co-brokering. If your plan doesn't include them you'll still see them in the console, with your network's status and the path to enable them — so you know what's missing before asking.

What we configure
You see these read-only, in the Network rules configured by Mapaprop block. Each one has a button to request the change, which opens a ticket with your network already filled in.
What members contribute to the network's pool
It's the most important rule, because it defines what you ask of each partner.

| Mandatory | Being a member means contributing everything. The member can't choose |
It's chosen when the network is created, when there's nobody inside yet and nothing is being imposed on anyone. After that it doesn't change on its own: you ask us and we do it.
Why. Switching to Mandatory publishes the entire catalog of people who joined able to choose. And loosening it changes the regime under which they agreed to join. In both directions it reaches third parties, so we'd rather let them know.
If we loosen it for you, the properties your members already had in the network stay. Nobody loses what they'd been contributing: from then on each one decides what to add, and if they want to remove something they unpublish it themselves, property by property.

How the network's catalog is shown on each member's site
The twin of the previous one, for the opposite axis: that one governs how much a member contributes to the pool, this one how much of the pool they show on their own site. It has the same three modes and they're independent of each other.
It only applies if your network offers the own storefront — that switch is yours.

Network directory and co-brokering
Your members see the offices, branches, and agents of the whole network, and can register shared deals picking the peer by name. It's what turns a network into a group that operates together instead of a shared catalog.

When a property leaves the network
A property pulls itself out of the network when its owner marks it Sold, Rented, Reserved, or Suspended. If it becomes available again, it goes back in.
It's automatic and nobody has to do it by hand. Detail in Publish on Networks.
Entity agreement
If your network represents an entity — a professional body, a chamber, an association — Mapaprop can evaluate an agreement for its members. Terms are agreed with each entity.
It has one consequence worth keeping in mind: approving a partner is, in that same act, giving them access to those terms. It isn't just letting them into the catalog.
It isn't bought with a plan. If you're interested, write to us and we'll look at it.
How you request a change
There are two paths, and the first is the better one:
- From your network's console. Every rule we configure has its Request a change button. It opens a ticket with your network already filled in, so you don't have to explain which one it is.
- By email, at feedback@mapaprop.com, if you're not in the console or you'd rather write to us. Tell us which network it's about.
Either way, tell us what you want to change and why. The "why" isn't a formality: if you're going to tighten the contribution rule, we want to know whether your members already know, because they're the ones who'll feel it.
