The Cowork Network is a complete MLS network with open access. Unlike publication networks, it offers advanced features: properties are distributed on the websites of all members, MLS messaging between colleagues is enabled, and co-brokering is made easier. Requires a Mapaprop Business plan.

About the publication mode: The suggested default for a Cowork Network is Manual, but the network owner can configure it differently when creating it. They could choose "Automatic by default" or "Mandatory" if they want members to share everything without having to activate individual properties.

The publication mode and website publication are two independent settings. A property can be in the MLS pool but not distributed on member websites, or vice versa, depending on what the network owner configures.

How it works

1. The professional subscribes freely from "Connect Networks (Marketplace)."
2. Depending on the network's publication mode, they select which properties to publish or wait for automatic synchronization.
3. The properties enter the network's MLS pool and are distributed on the websites of all members.
4. A buyer browsing Member A's website can find a property from Member B.
5. When sending an inquiry, both members receive the lead in their inbox.
6. Members coordinate the deal to close a co-brokering transaction.

Key advantage over Publication Network: Properties don't just appear on the network's portal, but also on each member's website, multiplying visibility. In addition, MLS messaging allows two professionals to coordinate joint deals.

Can I change my publication mode?

If the network isn't Mandatory, you can change your personal setting from that network's screen:

• If the network is Manual and you want to enable automatic publication, you can do so from your connection settings for that network.
• If the network is Automatic by default and you'd rather control it manually, you can also change it.

Also, if the network enables website publication, you'll see a separate switch to control whether your properties appear on the websites of the other members.

Important: If the network owner chose Mandatory mode, the publication switch appears disabled. All your published properties go to the network automatically.

Example: co-brokering flow

1. Member A publishes 10 properties on the network.
2. Member B publishes 5 properties on the network.
3. A buyer visits A's website and finds a property from B.
4. They send an inquiry message.
5. Member A receives the lead as "contact origin."
6. Member B receives the lead as "property owner."
7. Both coordinate the visit and close the deal with shared commission.

Note: There are currently no active Cowork networks in production outside the demo network. This type of network is available to any Business subscriber who wants to create one.
