This guide will teach you how to manage the domains of your Mapaprop website: connect your own domain or activate a free temporary domain yourrealestateagency.mapaprop.com.
From Website Console you can access the options. Click on Internet Domain to manage your domain.

Attention
Internet domains are always your property and your responsibility. Mapaprop can help you register the domain in your name and delegate it, but is in no case responsible for the annual renewal. Your domain is your brand on the internet, therefore we recommend giving it the importance it deserves.
What is an internet domain?
An internet domain is a comprehensible identification to use on the internet network that is associated with a connected device in order to access it.
In other words: an internet domain is the way people can access your website, which is located on a device (server) permanently connected to the network.
For example: www.yourrealestateagency.com. It is like your office address, but on the internet.
With Mapaprop, you can connect your own domain to your website so that your clients find you easily.
Who can manage domains?
Only account administrators can add or remove domains.

How many domains can I have?
The number of domains depends on your plan:

Note: All plans allow at least 1 domain. If you need more than 5, contact support.
Free temporary domain (yourrealestateagency.mapaprop.com)
If you do not have your own domain yet, you can activate a free temporary domain in one click, in the form yourrealestateagency.mapaprop.com, so that your website has a usable address while you obtain and configure your permanent domain.
It is the fastest way to put your site online: it is activated in seconds, it already comes with a security certificate (HTTPS) and it has no cost.
How to activate it:
- Go to Websites > Your site > Domains.
- If the site does not have any domain yet, you will see the Create temporary domain button.
- Choose the subdomain name (we suggest one based on your real estate agency name) and confirm.
- Done: your site becomes available at
yourrealestateagency.mapaprop.com.
The temporary domain is replaced automatically as soon as you add your own domain. There is no need to delete it: when you connect your permanent domain, the temporary one is removed on its own.
Things to keep in mind:
- It is only available while the site has no domain at all (it is the starting point).
- The chosen name must contain part of your real estate agency name.
- As with any domain management, only the account administrators can create it.
- It is an address provided by Mapaprop conceived as a step prior to your own domain: your brand on the internet is always your domain.
- If you want to deactivate it before having your own domain, you can remove it with the trash icon: we ask for a single confirmation, not the triple step required for your last own domain.
How to add a domain
Step 1: Configure the nameservers at your registrar
Before adding the domain in Mapaprop, you have to configure the nameservers where you bought your domain (NIC.ar, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
Configure these 4 nameservers:

Important: This change can take between 1 and 48 hours to propagate across the internet. We recommend waiting at least 1 hour before continuing.
Step 2: We check your email
- Log in to your Mapaprop panel
- Go to Websites > Your site > Domains
- Click on Add domain
- Enter your domain (e.g.:
yourrealestateagency.com) - Click on Check email
Before anything is touched, the system checks whether your domain has email configured. It is a read-only check: nothing is modified yet.
Why we do it: when the domain is delegated to our servers, the email configuration is replaced. If you have mailboxes on your domain and we do not restore it, they stop receiving messages.
Depending on what we find, you will see one of these responses:

When we do not recognize the provider we do not guess: an email record that is set incorrectly stops receiving messages without warning. We prefer to stop and sort it out with you.
Step 3: Verify the delegation
The system checks that the 4 nameservers are correctly configured at your registrar. If they have not propagated yet, it shows you which ones are set today and which ones should be set.
Step 4: Activate the domain
If the verification is successful, click on Activate domain.
In a few minutes your domain will be working and pointing to your Mapaprop website.
If the domain already had a DNS zone created in Mapaprop, the activation stops and we let you know. It is a protection: a second zone for the same domain can take the site that was already working out of service. If this happens to you, write to us.
The security certificate (HTTPS) is issued automatically
As soon as you activate the domain, Mapaprop issues its security certificate without you having to request anything. It is what makes your site load with the padlock and the https:// address.
It usually takes less than a minute, and a single certificate covers both forms of your domain: tuinmobiliaria.com and www.tuinmobiliaria.com.
During that minute your browser may show a security warning if you open the domain. This is expected and goes away on its own once the certificate is issued. You do not have to do anything: wait a moment and reload the page.
If the certificate cannot be issued, the system alerts us automatically and we take care of it. You do not need to report it.
The certificate renews itself before expiring, as long as your domain remains delegated to our servers. If the domain expires at your registrar, the certificate stops renewing: one more reason to keep the annual renewal date in mind.
Managing your domain's DNS records
With the domain already active, you can manage its DNS records yourself from Internet Domain > the domain > DNS records: the MX records of your email, the TXT verification records that Google or Meta ask you for, and any CNAME records you need. Previously, every change had to be requested through support.
The records that keep your site working —the NS records, the SOA record and the two base A records (with and without www)— are managed by Mapaprop: they appear marked as such and with no option to edit them, because modifying them takes the site out of service. Any other record is yours.
To configure email you do not need to copy the servers by hand: when you add an MX record you can choose your provider from a list and the values are filled in on their own, with the correct priorities.

How to remove a domain
If you have more than 1 domain
- Go to Websites > Your site > Domains
- Find the domain you want to remove
- Click on the trash icon
- Confirm the removal
If it is your only domain
Removing your only domain has important consequences:
- Your website will be left without a public address
- Visitors will not be able to access your site
- You will have to add a new domain for it to work again
That is why we ask you for triple confirmation before removing your last domain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I add more domains?
If you have a basic plan, you can only have 1 domain. To add more, upgrade your plan to Pro or Business.
How long does my domain take to work?
Once you configure the nameservers and add the domain in Mapaprop, it generally works in less than 1 hour. In exceptional cases it can take up to 48 hours.
What happens if my domain shows "Not delegated"?
It means that the nameservers are not configured correctly yet or that they have not propagated. Check:
- That you have entered the 4 exact nameservers
- That at least 1 hour has passed since the change
- Try verifying again
Can I have a free address while I obtain my domain?
Yes. You can activate a free temporary domain yourrealestateagency.mapaprop.com from Domains > Create temporary domain (available when the site does not have any domain yet). It is activated in seconds, with HTTPS, and it is replaced on its own when you add your own domain. See the "Free temporary domain" section above.
My browser says my site is not secure. What do I do?
If you have just added the domain, wait a minute and reload: the security certificate is issued automatically and the warning goes away on its own. If more than an hour has passed and you still see it, write to websites@mapaprop.com — the system has already alerted us, but tell us anyway so we can prioritize it.
Can I change the email records of my domain?
Yes. From Internet Domain > the domain > DNS records you can add, edit and remove the MX, TXT and CNAME records of your domain. The records that keep the site working are managed by Mapaprop and are not touched. See DNS records.
Can I use subdomains?
No, currently only main domains are supported (e.g.: yourrealestateagency.com), not subdomains (e.g.: sales.yourrealestateagency.com).
What happens if I remove a domain by mistake?
You can add it again by following the same steps. If the nameservers are still configured, the verification will be immediate.
Why does my .com.ar domain take time to be verified?
.com.ar domains registered at NIC.ar sometimes take longer to propagate. If you receive a "timeout" error, wait a few minutes and try again.
