Some mobile phones mark photos with a specific orientation
Some phone brands and models "print" certain information (metadata) into the photos you take with them, about the orientation of the image relative to how it was taken. This means those phones have an actual camera position (one way to take landscape photos and another to take portrait photos)
Brands like iPhone or LG tend to be the models that include this feature. So when uploading photos to Mapaprop, if you didn't take them in the correct position, you'll see them upside down.
Even when you see it right-side up on your smartphone or computer, Mapaprop respects the original orientation tag printed by your phone on the photo.
How do you fix this problem?- Pay attention to the correct way to take photos on your phone, so you avoid having to rotate photos
- If you don't, you can process your images either on your phone or on your computer, with programs like Inshot, Photoshop (mobile) and XNview, Photoscape, Photoshop or GIMP on the computer,
- There are also several websites that let you rotate photos for free, the downside being that they don't allow bulk edits.
