When you create a page from the Add Pages function, in Menu > Website > My Pages, there is the option to show it in the menu or not. If you check the box "show in menu" the text you added in the "menu text" field will be displayed when you save the page by clicking the "save" button.
This always happens without fail. Everyone will see the change you made, …but it is very likely that you yourself will not be able to see it if you had your website open. Why? Your website is configured to be stored in the internet browser's memory (cache) to speed up browsing.
To see the changes, close all internet browser windows and then reopen them. There you will see that the change did occur. This also applies to Phones, Addresses, and Featured items.
