How to activate an email system for your own domain
For Flex and Flex light type websites, it's possible to activate, together and at no extra charge, an Email system so you can have emails like info@yourdomain.com. For Light or Express type websites, it's possible to have an Email system optionally, by paying a one-time activation fee. Check here.
The options are...
- Create a new @yourdomain.com email system
This option is for you if you don't currently have correos@sudominio.com.
Having a new corporate email system is very easy. To do so you need to sign up for a service that Mapaprop will recommend for this purpose (e.g.: Email with Zoho Mail (free) or the paid services of Google Apps, Microsoft Exchange (Office365), Amazon Work Mail
Mapaprop doesn't provide an email service directly, but connects you to specialized third-party servicesRecommended services for corporate email
Currently only Email with Zoho Mail offers a free option and is the option recommended by Mapaprop. The other corporate email service options have a cost. The available and recommended options are (in order of appearance):- Email with Zoho Mail (free)
- Google Apps
- Microsoft Exchange (Office365)
- Amazon Work Mail
- Migrate an existing email@yourdomain.com system
This option is the one you should consider if you currently have correos@sudominio.comMigrating pre-existing emails to your hosting with Mapaprop
- Migration to a new service: If you currently have a website with emails, Mapaprop will help you migrate your current email management system to one that works integrated with Mapaprop, such as Zoho Mail or other third-party email services
- If you have email systems like Google Apps, Office365 or Zoho Mail, you can keep using those emails without changing the system. You'll need to let support know that you want to use that email
- If you want to keep your current email system hosted on pre-existing hosting (both mailbox administration and reading emails), that's also possible, by redirecting the A Record of your current hosting to Mapaprop's ns. Keep in mind that if you keep your previous system you might pay two hosting charges: the one for your previous system and Mapaprop's hosting
You can also read About importing emails from other systems into Zoho Mail
Although it's possible to set up email with your own domain, Mapaprop doesn't provide this service directly. This means the email service is provided by third parties and Mapaprop only configures the server (MX) so your domain can point to that service. Therefore, Mapaprop is limited to technical support for its servers and is not responsible for issues with the use of third-party services nor does it provide technical support for such services.
