The booking search engine and its technical features.
All Mapaprop websites are integrated with the option to use the Bookings system for short-term rentals. This is reflected by showing a calendar with visible markers on the dates already scheduled as occupied in Bookings
Also, if your activity is mainly focused on short-term rentals, the website may have a specialized search engine to locate available properties between dates and for a certain number of people and/or bedrooms.
The booking search engine works in direct, real-time relation with your activity in the Mapaprop Bookings module. This module lets you set occupancy date ranges for the property.
Technical features
The booking search engine has a date selection field. When you choose a date, for example, the check-in date, a calendar is displayed to search for the date. The same applies to the check-out date field.
In any case, when at least one date is selected, when you press the search button, the system will only return results for the "short-term rental" operation type
Use cases
Selection of check-in and check-out dates:
If both dates are selected, the resulting search will return properties with "short-term rental" operation that are available between the specified periods.
Selection of check-in date only:
If a check-in date is selected without choosing a check-out date, the system will interpret the check-out date as being 7 days later, so if you select 05-20-2015 as check-in, the system will return results up to 05-27-2015 as the check-out date.
Selection of check-out date only:
If a check-out date is selected without choosing a check-in date, the system will interpret the check-in date as the present day, so if you select 05-27-2015 as check-out, the system will return results from the present as the check-in date, up to 05-27-2015 as the check-out date.
